What to wear for LSU senior portraits
A part of the planning process for your senior portraits is what to wear! That is why I have added insight and photos below for you to get inspired for your upcoming shoot.
Pick your session location
Decide where you want your photos taken, what setting do you want? Most LSU grads decide to stay on campus for the duration of the session, with this we can shoot at multiple spots within the time frame of your choosing. When thinking about your session location and outfits, think about the colors, vibe, and style. Every outfit looks best in particular photoshoot locations.
Then decide on a session package
This where you will choose the length of your session. Depending on which package you have booked (or will book) you want to have your outfits prepared. If you choose a 30 minute session, I recommend 1 outfit. If you choose a 1 hour session, I recommend, 2 outfits. If you choose a 2 hour, I recommend 2 - 3 outfits. When deciding on which package is best for you, think about which outfits would be best and you want to make sure you have enough shooting time, rather changing and retouching makeup. If you know you want more outfits go for more time when selecting which package is best for you.
My fav fit ideas
I love a classic white or black mini dress with simple heels or wedges. Then I would do an alumni shirt with denim or any other bottoms , maybe leather shorts or skirt! Lastly, if you choose the 2 hour package, pick an outfit that is unique to you, maybe sparkles, florals, jeans, a hat, jumpsuit, blazer & etc.
Think about all the little things
Hair, makeup, accessories, steaming - lol!
Looking and feeling comfortable is a significant part of the planning process for your session. Along with preparing your outfits, make sure you know how or who is doing your hair and makeup. If you want to add an accessory to the fit, go for it! Accessories are a fun way to bring out the real YOU! Be sure to steam your outfit before your session. Doing this will only help the photos look so much better.
